PARENTS ASSOCIATION

Our Aim

The purpose of the Parents Association is to provide a structure through which the parents/guardians of children attending Dromclough National School can work together to provide for the best possible education opportunities for all the pupils who are enrolled at the school.

The Parents Association shall work with the Principal, teaching and ancillary staff and the Board of Management to build an effective partnership between home and school.

The Dromclough National School Parents Association is officially affiliated to the National Parents Council Primary (NPC) which is the nationwide organisation representing parents of children attending early and primary education. The NPC contributes to the advancement of the early and primary education of all children, in order to improve and enrich the education of each child and to support the involvement of parents in all a stages - www.npc.ie

Meetings

Our meetings are usually held at least 4x per year in September, November, February and May.

At the Annual General Meeting (aimed to be held in October of each year) the Executive Committee shall report to the guardian/ parent body (the members) about its activities in the year since the previous AGM.

_A good and positive partnership between the home and school is important and all parents/guardians are welcome to participate at all activities organised by the Executive Committee of the Parents Association.

Parents Association
All parents or guardians of children attending Dromclough National School are automatically members of the Parents Association. Each year an Executive Committee is elected who then act on behalf of the members of the Parents Association.
